Incubators help entrepreneurs solve some of the problems commonly associated with running a startup by providing workspace, seed funding, mentoring, and training .The sole purpose of a startup incubator is to help entrepreneurs grow their business.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centres (IEDC) are platforms set up in Engineering, Management, Arts & Science Colleges, Medical Institutions, Polytechnics and Universities with an aim to provide students with an opportunity to experiment and innovate. Kerala Startup Mission has set up IEDCs in 341 institutions across the State which provide avenues for creative students to learn, collaborate and transform their innovative ideas into prototypes of viable products and services. IEDCs works as the first launch pad for a student’s entrepreneurial journey and provide them with access to cutting edge technology, world-class infrastructure, high-quality mentorship, early risk capital and global exposure. Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) is a flagship initiative of Kerala Startup Mission to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among the student and academic fraternity in the educational institutions in the State of Kerala and considered as an umbrella programme that would play an instrumental role in fostering innovation culture in Academic institutions.

INSPIRE is the zonal meet up of innovators organised in various campuses. The objective of the INSPIRE programme is to strengthen student communities by helping innovators to have deeper awareness about the strength and weakness of IEDCs.

Mar Augusthinose College had its inception in 1995 under the Management of St. Augustine’s Forane Church, Ramapuram and under the stewardship of Rev. Fr. Augustine Perumattam. The college has registered consistent growth during the able management of Rev. Fr. Cyriac Kunnel, Rev. Fr. Mathew Narivelil and Rev. Dr. George Njarakunnel. Ever since its inception, the institution has maintained high academic excellence, commitment to moral values, and single-minded devotion to the cause of higher education. The institution which started with only a few courses like BBA, BSc Electronics, BCA and BCom, has now grown into one of the most outstanding colleges in the self-financing sector of higher education with as many as ten undergraduate batches of diverse programmes like BCA (2 Batches) BSc Electronics, BSc Biotechnology, BBA (2 Batches), BCom (Co-operation 2 Batches), BCom (Finance & Taxation) and BA(English Literature & Communication Studies). The total strength of students has gone up to more than 1640 and 105 staff members from the meagre numbers in 1995. Seven Postgraduate programmes were also added to the range and depth of the academic life of this temple of learning.
